- The average child watches 17 hours of television per week
- Children spend 71% of their viewing time outside of children's airtime (12 hours per week)
- Children spend the equivalent of 22 mins a day watching adverts
- Children aged 4 - 9 spend 20% of their viewing watching adverts in children's TV (3 - 4 hours per week)
- Children aged 10 - 15 spend 11% watching adverts during children's TV (1.9 hours per week)
- Ofcom wanted to limit food and drink adverts and ban unhealthy food adverts between children's TV
